Terms of service
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Cirkle Development Group ("we", "us") for using Cirkle Cloud at cloud.teamcirkle.co.uk. By requesting an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of this agreement.
1. The service
Cirkle Cloud is a workspace with mail, calendar, chat and calls, voicemail, file storage, documents, spreadsheets, presentations and tasks. It is an early release. Features may change, move or be switched off, and there may be bugs or downtime. We will try to give notice of big changes, but we cannot promise it in every case.
2. Your account
- You need a CirkleID to sign in. You must be at least 13 years old.
- Accounts are not automatic. Your first sign in creates a request, and an administrator decides whether to approve it. We may decline a request without giving a reason, although we will tell you the outcome by email.
- Keep your CirkleID sign in details safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us quickly if you think someone else has used it.
- Your CirkleID reference works as your number for calls. Anyone with it can try to call you, so treat it as you would a phone number.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Cirkle Cloud to:
- break the law, or help someone else to;
- harass, threaten, abuse or impersonate anyone;
- send spam, scams, phishing messages or bulk unwanted messages;
- upload or share malware, or content that is illegal, hateful or sexually exploits or endangers children;
- try to get into accounts, systems or data that are not yours, or test our security without written permission;
- overload or interfere with the service, including by automated means;
- make calls or leave voicemails that are abusive, repeated to annoy someone, or that you are not allowed to make.
We may remove content, limit features or suspend an account if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken or that your use puts others or the service at risk.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you create or upload. You give us a limited permission to store, process and display it for the sole purpose of running the service for you and the people you choose to share with. You are responsible for your content and for having the right to use it.
5. Sharing
You control who can see your documents, files and spreadsheets. If you create a public share link, anyone who has the link can open it, and anyone who also has the PIN can unlock it if you set one. Share links and PDF links can be forwarded, so only share what you are happy for others to see. You can turn a link off at any time.
6. Calls and voicemail
- Calls are voice calls through your browser. We do not record them. Do not record other people without their permission.
- If you do not answer, the caller may leave you a voicemail. We store it, with the caller's name, until you delete it or for 60 days, whichever comes first.
- Call quality depends on your devices and network. On some networks, calls may not connect.
- Cirkle Cloud cannot be used to call emergency services. It is not a replacement for a telephone line. In an emergency, use a phone and dial 999 or 112.
- The call test service plays back a short recording of you on your own device. That recording is not sent to anyone.
7. Email and notifications
Your Cirkle Cloud address is for work and group use. Messages you send go through our email provider, and we may limit sending to protect the service. We also send you service emails from cloud@cirkleid.teamcirkle.co.uk. You can turn off alert emails in Settings, but account and security emails will still be sent.
8. Storage limits
Each account has a storage allowance, which is 10 GB unless we say otherwise. We may block uploads once the allowance is full, and we may remove items from a closed account.
9. Our rights in the service
We own the Cirkle Cloud software, design, name and logos, and the CirkleID name and marks. These terms do not give you any right to use them, other than to use the service as it is provided.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service running, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error free or free of data loss. Keep copies of anything important. We may change, pause or end any part of the service. We may also update these terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email, and continued use after the change means you accept it.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using Cirkle Cloud at any time and ask us to close your account by emailing cloud@cirkleid.teamcirkle.co.uk. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your account is inactive for a long time, or if we end the service. If we close it for reasons other than a breach, we will try to give you time to download your files.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Subject to that:
- The service is provided "as is" and "as available".
- We are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, for loss of profit, business or goodwill, or for loss of data that you could have protected by keeping a copy.
- Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £100. The service is currently free.
If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.
13. Complaints and contact
If you have a problem or a complaint, email cloud@cirkleid.teamcirkle.co.uk and we will do our best to put it right.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales can decide any dispute, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also use the courts there.
